Dorothy Morrison Madsen passed away on May 6, 2014. She was born November 14, 1927, in Downey, Idaho to J. George and R. Pearl Morrison. She graduated from Arimo High School and went to college in Salt Lake and worked at Montgomery Ward until she married Wallace (Wally) Madsen on July 8, 1950. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple, November 1963.
Dorothy was active in PTA where she was president twice. She was also active in the LDS Church and served as a counselor in the Relief Society, a secretary in the YW Mutual organization, and in Primary. She and her husband served a Stake Mission. She lived in Pocatello, Cheyenne, and Centerville where she retired in 1986. In 1991 the built a home in Santa Clara, Utah, and retired permanently.
The family expresses thanks to Bill and Mary Hyde and all Church members and neighbors. A special thanks to Dr. Greg Price and staff, and to Dr. A. Ray and staff.
There will be a viewing on Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at Serenity Funeral Home, 1316 S. 400 E., St. George, Utah. Dorothy's wish was to be cremated and buried in the Arimo Cemetery, Arimo, Idaho.
