Jean A. Cameron, 86, of Crystal, ND passed away Monday, January 6, 2014, at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. A private service will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to a charity of donor's choice.

Jean was born October 12, 1927, near Neche, ND on the George and Margaret Horsley farm, to Wilbert and Annie (Horsley) Mountain. She lived in the Tyner community and attended country school through the eighth grade. In 1945, she graduated from Cavalier High School.

On September 29, 1946, she married Bert Cameron at the Backoo Presbyterian Church. After their marriage they lived on a farm at Glasston, ND for five years. They then moved to a farm in the Crystal area where they lived until moving into town in 1959, where she resided until her death.

Survivors include her children: Roberta (Steve) Kristjanson, Peggy Johnson, Diane (Tom) Otto, James (Patti) Cameron, and Bruce Cameron; grandchildren: Amy (Mark) Privratsky ,Tom Kristjanson; Lara (Charles) Foley, Anthea Johnson, Carissa (Sam) Weisdorf; Jeanette (James) Jenson, Tami (Jeff) Rasmussen, Nick (Kathryn) Otto; Katie (Tyson) Hajicek, Bert (Kristi) Cameron, Tyler (Natalie) Cameron; great-grandchildren: Joe, Ava, and Will Privratsky; Cameron, Kip, and Ivy Jenson, Marin and Pete Rasmussen, Calvin and Theodore Otto; Ellesmere and Sierra Foley; James and Julia Hajicek, Taylor and Kennedy Cameron; sister-in-law, Jean Mountain; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Bert; son, Thomas John; son-in-law, Bruce Johnson; brother, W. Earl Mountain.
