She graduated from Eastern High School in 1963 then earned degrees at the University of Chicago and Rutgers University. She spent the next 40 years living and working in the Cambridge area, retiring from the Boston Globe's Information Technology Department.
She is survived by her sister, Katybeth (Jerry) Wooldridge, Kokomo; brother, James (Becky) Moxley, Peru; her nieces, Melody (Pat) Gammans, Kokomo, Anita Wooldridge, Kokomo, and Dresden (Jordan) Carter, Peru; her nephews, Daryl (Jerri) Wooldrige, Lombard, IL, and Donovan Moxley, Indianapolis; one great-niece; and four great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She will be greatly missed by her family.
