"Maxine M. Pancoast, 76, of Marshall died Monday, May 31, 2010, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2010, at First United Methodist Church in Marshall, with Rev. Kathleen Schmidtke officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Building Fund or Highland Home Residential Care in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.

Born Jan. 17, 1934, in Macon, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Frank Moxley and Louise Cook Moxley Houts. On May 20, 1951, she married James William Hedrick and they later divorced. On June 12, 1977, she married Lawrence Pancoast, who preceded her in death in 1997. She had lived in Marshall for many years and lived in Bosworth from 1977 to 1999. She had worked at Wilson Foods, Noah's Ark Daycare and was then a member of the Foster Grandparent Program for several years. She had attended First United Methodist Church where she was a nursery worker.

Survivors include two sons, William Russell Hedrick and wife, Cindy, of Independence and James Chris Hedrick of Marshall; two daughters, Karen Louise Hooper and husband, Stewart, of rural Marshall and Dianne Maxine Bruce of Marshall; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, William Dean Moxley and wife, Pat, of Janesville, Wis.; and several nephews."
