Kathryn Thurston Moxley (Belyou) Born December 19, 1923, died June 16, 2012 Mrs. Moxley was the youngest of six children born in Montcalm County, Michigan of James Belyou and Mary Belyou (Hatch). Kay worked for the State of Michigan all of her working life. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling and being with her extended family. She is survived by her children Anthony Thurston (Chris) of Portland, Or.; Philip Thurston (Patty) of Phoenix, Az.; Roy Thurston (Lynda) of Port Deposit, Maryland, Jeanne Butler (Benjamin) of Harlingen, Tx.; Leigh Thurston (Robin) of Ann Arbor, MI.; and Carl Thurston of Lansing, MI. Her husband, John Moxley and son, Richard Thurston preceded her in death. Kay is also survived by eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews and friends. She will be known as a loving mother and will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends. Services will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 120 North Huron, Ypsilanti, at 11 a.m. on June 19. The family wishes to thank the staff at Hillside Terrace and Compassionate Care Hospice for their loving care and support of Kay. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.
