Lucinda Muirhead Corron, age 101, of Campton Twp. Died Saturday at her home. She had been a resident of Campton Township for 64 years. She was born June 4, 1909 in Plato Township the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Beith Muirhead. Lucinda graduated from Plato Township High School in 1927 and also was a graduate of Wheaton College in 1931 and Northwestern University M.A. in 1938. She taught English at Plato High School until her marriage to Robert Corron on June 14, 1946. Her memberships include, the Wasco Ladies Aid, St. Charles Women's Club, and she was a former member of the Plato Methodist Church. She also was a volunteer at the Elgin Mental Health Center. She is survived by two sons, Robert (Jane) Corron of Campton Township and David Corron of Campton Township, one daughter, Sarah (Larry) Toms of Oregon, IL., one granddaughter, Ashley Corron of Chicago, IL. Lucinda was preceded in death by her husband Robert, two sisters, Elizabeth Muirhead, Lillian Dahlstrom, two brothers, Donald and John Muirhead. Lucinda and her family appreciated the loving care given to her by Mary Niceley and Norene Milligan. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Yurs Funeral Home, St. Charles. Burial will be at Whitney Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
