Mona Casey, 82, of Abilene passed away Friday, August 6, 2010. Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, at North's Memorial Chapel with David Cason officiating. Burial to follow in Robert Lee Cemetery in Robert Lee, Texas, under the direction of North's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-7:30 p.m. at North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange Street.

Ms. Casey was born in Robert Lee, Texas on July 10, 1928, to Bonnie and Mabel Mundell. She married Michael Casey March 4, 1946 in Robert Lee Baptist Church. They owned and operated Casey Equipment Company and had a roustabout business for Pride Refinery after moving to Abilene in 1971. Mona was also a hairdresser for sixteen years. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary at VFW Post #2012, and American Legion Post #57.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son and brothers.

She is survived by special friends Kathleen Butler of Sweetwater, Texas, Olita Racicot of Clyde, Texas, and Sammy Gonzales of Abilene, Texas as well as many other friends, nieces and nephews.
