Mrs. Martin was born Aug. 22, 1916, in Boone County, the daughter of the late Jacob McLenton and Ada Ethel (Pollard) Mundell.
She married Rupert Malcolm Martin in a double ceremony with John and Mary McMains on July 27, 1936, in Stilesville. Mr. Martin died June 12, 2005.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Martin of Mechanicsburg and Jacob "Jake" L. (Tammy) Martin of Hickory, N.C.; one daughter, Darlene (John) Ross of Indianapolis; one brother, Jacob M. (Brenda) Mundell Jr. of Lafayette; three nieces that lived in the Martin home, Karen Mundell (Walt) Kowalski of Denver, Colo., Patty Fern "Trish" Martin (Mike) Bell of Indianapolis and Barbara Sue Martin (Larry) Stevens of Yorktown; and 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Patricia Diane Martin; a son, Mark Martin; two grandsons, Brad Martin and Shane Martin; two sisters, Doris Allen and Margaret Mundell; and five brothers, Arthur Mundell, Harold Mundell, Winfied Mundell, Loren Mundell and Owen Mundell.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the Scotland Christian Church, with the Rev. Ken Thompson officiating.
Burial will be at the Scotland Cemetery in Clinton County.
