Minnie Lee Murphy Adams, age 72, of Westminster, SC, the widow of Glenn Adams, died Saturday, March 28, 2009, at her home.

Born December 4, 1936 in Oconee County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Paul John and Minnie Mae Lee Murphy and had lived most of her life in Westminster, SC. She was of the Baptist Faith, a homemaker and worked at Georgia Baptist Assembly for several years.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Galbreath of Westminster, SC and Lois Griffin of Hayesville, NC; a son, Glenn "Junior" Adams of Toccoa; four sisters, Lizzie Mae Grant of Salem, SC, Annie Bell Davis and Genevieve Gibby both of Toccoa and Pauline Phillips of Westminster, SC; one brother, Albert "Buster" Murphy of Westminster, SC; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Leon, Clayton, Bert and Mack Murphy; and sisters, Cleo Standridge and Eula Simmons.

A Graveside Service will be held at four o'clock Monday, March 30, 2009, at Roselane Cemetery in Toccoa with Chaplain Robert Lowe and Mr. Charlie Pitts officiating.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Chad Galbreath, Justin Galbreath, Josh Galbreath, Brandon Griffin, John Galbreath, and Roy Lee Griffin, Jr.

The family will be at the home of Linda Galbreath in Westminster and also at the home of Junior Adams in Toccoa, and will receive friends at Whitlock Mortuary from 6-8 pm Sunday. Whitlock Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
