Mrs. Nora M. (Murphy) Balot, 55, of Elizabeth died on Sunday, June 21, at Delaire Nursing Home, Linden. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral service to be held in the Werson Funeral Home, 635 No. Wood Ave., Linden, on Thursday, June 25, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Rosedale Memorial Park, Linden. Born in Jersey City, Mrs. Balot resided in Elizabeth for the past 33 years. She was employed by the State of New Jersey Department of Labor, Division of Unemployment, Elizabeth, as a clerk for 10 years. She was predeceased by her father, Thomas Murphy Sr. Surviving are her husband of 33 years, David T. Balot; her mother, Beatrice (Brice) Murphy; one sister, Linda Burns; three brothers, Francis, Robert and Thomas Murphy Jr.; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
