Obituary of Eloise H. (Murphy) Burg
Eloise H. Burg of Florence died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at Cooper Hospital University Medical Center, Camden. She was 82.
Mrs. Burg was born in Florence, the daughter of the late Luther M. and Evelyn O'Hara Murphy. She resided in Florence and Roebling lifelong.
Eloise and her husband enjoyed supporting her grandsons' Florence Township sporting events and watching them play.
Mrs. Burg was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Francis W. Robbins American Legion Post 194, Florence, a member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Opre Larson VFW Post 8838, Roebling, Burlington County Democratic Club and former member of Holy Assumption School PTA.
Eloise was preceded in death by her husband, Martin C. 'Hammer' Burg Sr., who died Sept. 23, 2011.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Sharon and David de la Parra, Vickie and Robert Malsbury, and James and Becky Ford; step-children, Martin Burg Jr., Shirley Libertore, Carol DuBow, and Marie and Darrell Smith; grandchildren, Derek, Shannon, James, Hunter, Jared, Brett, and Amanda; a great-grandchild, Dana; sister and brother-in-law, Isabelle and William Wrenkel; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Jacqueline Murphy; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Ave., Roebling. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Holy Assumption Cemetery, Roebling.
The family requests memorial donations be sent to the American Heart Association, 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183.
