Mrs. Debbie Ann Absher, age 58, of Pounding Mill, VA went home to be with the Lord on Friday December 20, 2013 in a Richlands, VA hospital following a courages battle with cancer. Born at Iaeger, WV she was the daughter of Jesse & Peggy Lambert Murphy, Jr. of Richlands, VA. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Fred & Della Lambert and her paternal grandparents Jesse & Jane Murphy. Debbie loved life. She loved to cook and sew. She loved her grandbabies and dogs. She was the owner & operator of Deb's Do's Dog Grooming and Boarding.
In addition to her parents Debbie is survived by her husband Michael Absher; one daughter Courtni Shortt & Fiancée William (B.J.) Keen of Pounding Mill, VA; one son Joshua Absher & wife Robin of Claypool Hill, VA; two sisters Karen Sue Murphy of Richlands, VA and Patricia Kay Collins & husband Teddy of Doran, VA; two brothers Timmy Murphy of Richlands, VA and Tommy Murphy of Abingdon, VA; Father & Mother in Law Troy & Pauline Absher of Pounding Mill, VA; three grandsons Wesley Tate Shortt; Landon Tate Absher and Brady Luke Absher; two step grandsons Colton Andrew Keen & William Avery Keen; several nieces, nephews and several beloved dogs also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Debbie Ann Absher will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday December 23, 2013 at the Singleton Funeral Service Chapel in Cedar Bluff, VA with Rev. LeAnn Cranwell and Rev. Linda Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens Cemetery at Claypool Hill, VA. Pallbearers will be Family & Friends. The Family will receive friends from 6-9 P.M. Sunday.
