CHESAPEAKE - Carole Maxine Adkins, 86, of the 1300 block of Yeadon Road, passed away Feb. 18, 2007, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
A native of Naugatuck, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John and Ester Murphy and the widow of Ralph H. Adkins.
She is survived by her two sons, Robert M. Adkins and Jeffery L. Adkins, both of Chesapeake; two sisters, Garnett Clark of Delbarton, W.Va., and Mattie Custer of Emerald Isle, N.C.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, David P. Adkins.
A funeral will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
