In 1957, she married Brian Arne Cranner and together they had 4 children, Bruce, Chris, Victoria and Adam.
She is remembered by children, son-in-law Jason Byrnes, daughters-in-law Barbara Cranner and Mixxer Cranner and her 4 grandchildren, Gordon, Stuart & Mary Cranner and Tyler Byrnes. Mary was the devoted sister of Josephine De Grazia, Nicolas Nero and Francine Tomanio.
Mary was part of a large Italian family, grew up in Danbury, CT, and was graduated from Danbury High School in 1952.
After high school, she went to nursing school at the New York Foundling Hospital. Mary's life was dedicated to her family. She was a wife and proud mother of four and beaming grandmother to four more.
She loved her home and life in Westport, CT and was a committed volunteer, patron of the arts and dedicated to her community in countless ways serving on boards, committees and rolling up sleeves whenever necessary.
She was a thoughtful and funny friend to many, an avid reader, charming conversationalist and a passionate gardener throughout her life. She will be missed deeply and remembered fondly.
A private family service will be held in Connecticut during the Summer of 2014.
