Rona M.Gross ,66 of Lenox Road,passed away peacefully Thursday Feb 19,2009,at Ellis Hospital,following a brief illness.Rona was born in Schenectady September 8,1942,daughter of the late Benjamin and Ida Witkowski Nero.She was educated in Schenectady Schools and graduated from the former Mt.Pleasant High School.Rona was a homemaker;she was a very kind and generous soul,who was always at her family and friends aid when they needed someone.Rona was a lifelong communicant of Our Lady of Mt.Carmel Church.Rona was predeceased by her beloved parents and loving sister ,Elissa LaMalfa.Survivors include her beloved Husband of 48 years,John H Gross, whom she married August5,1961;loving sister,Gloria Kudzin of West Glenville; nieces,nephews,sisters-in-law,brothers-in-law,loving friends and her beloved dogs,Rosie,Scappy and Ruby.Services will be held Tuesday morning at 8 a.m from the Rossi&Ditoro Funeral Home,Union at North Jay Street,and then to Our Lady Of Mt.Carmel Church,Pleasant Street,where a Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m..Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.Relatives and friends are invited and may call at Rossi&DiToro Funeral Home Monday evening from 5 to 8 p.m.
