Mary C. (Ness) Bupp, 77, died Saturday, January 14, 2006, at York Hospital. She was the wife of Randall L. Bupp with whom she celebrated a 58th wedding anniversary on April 21, 2005. Funeral Wednesday at Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock, Rev. Jason Leader, pastor of St. Jacob's Stone United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial in St. Jacob's Stone Church Cemetery. Mrs. Bupp was born January 22, 1928, in Codorus Township, a daughter of the late Spurgeon Allen and Katie I. (Stine) Ness. She retired in 1990 from the Seven Valleys Garment Company, where she was employed as a zipper setter for many years. Prior to that she worked at several other local sewing companies. She was a member of Glen Rock Chapter of the Women of Today. She was an avid seamstress, doing quilting, embroidery work, sewing, and she also enjoyed baking and gardening. Mary is survived by six daughters, Geraldine E. Miller and Nancy S. Carter, both of New Freedom, Darlene J. Bupp of Red Lion, Linda J. Bupp of Spring Grove, Brenda L. Myers of Christobal, TX, and Sharon K. Spangler of York; five sons, Dennis L. Bupp and Steven M. Bupp, both of Glen Rock, Larry L. Bupp of York, Stanley K. Bupp of Stewartstown, and Wayne A. Bupp of Crawfordsville, IN; 24 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Grace Beck of Schwenksville, PA, Treva Bond of Red Lion, Doris Ratliff of Kernersville, NC, Donna Mae Ness of Littlestown, and Jean Raffensberger of New Freedom; and seven brothers, Leroy Ness of Chesterfield, MI, Norman Ness of Dover, Donald Ness of York, Paul Ness of Middletown, Ray Ness of Aspers, and Barry Ness and Glenn Ness, both of Glen Rock.
