YORK - Lestie N. Bailey, 91, of York Township, formerly of Springfield Township, died at 9:45 a.m. Friday at Rest Haven-York. She was the wife of the late Luther V. Bailey. The service will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York. Burial will be in Codorus Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Bailey was born July 23, 1907, in Springfield Township. She was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Lizzie (Myers) Ness. She was a potato chip bagger at the former Bon Ton Foods, from which she retired in 1969. She was a member of Codorus Church of the Brethren in Loganville and its Faith Bible Sunday School. Mrs. Bailey is survived by a son, Marvin E. Bailey of Seven Valleys; a daughter, Geraldine L. Ryan of York; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter Ness of Seven Valleys; and a sister, Katie Buchar of New Oxford. Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Nancy M. Jones. Memorial contributions may be made to Codorus Church of the Brethren, Box 165, Loganville 17342.
