COLUMBIA Linda Mae (Ness) Marquez, 51, died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2007, in Columbia. Born January 19, 1956, in York, she was the daughter of Rita M. Ness of York and the late Dale M. Ness. Linda was an esthetician for Tranquility in Centerville and worked in sales for Genesis Sales and Advertising. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Erin Hummel of York; a son, John Herman of Pace, Fla.; a brother, Gary D. Ness of Bainbridge; a sister, Debra Bloss of York; and three grandchildren, Bella Hummel, Amy Herman, and Christopher Herman. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Living Word Community Church, 2530 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion, with Pastor Steve C. Almquist officiating. A visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church. The Etzweiler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York, is in charge of arrangements. The family requests no flowers.
