Sharon Ness was born on May 19, 1939 to Gerhard and Leona (Arney) Ness in Marshalltown. Sharon graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1958. On February 15, 1959; Sharon was united in marriage to Marion Arment in Marshalltown. Sharon had worked for KIOWA Industries for twenty nine years and retired in 2001. After retirement, Sharon worked in the laundry department at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Sharon was a member of the Red Hat Society, Navy Mothers, UAW Local 893 and a member of Elim Lutheran Church.
Sharon was a very loyal person to friends and family and was very caring with a huge heart. She enjoyed attending her children's and grandchildren’s activities and spending time with the people closest to her. Sharon also enjoyed spending time outside, watching her soaps and game shows at home and loved her dog Corky.
Sharon is survived by her husband of fifty six years, Marion, her children, seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Gerhard and Leona as well as her thirteen brothers and sisters.

Services for Sharon will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Elim Lutheran Church in Marshalltown. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown.

Funeral services for Sharon Marie (Ness) Arment, 75, of Marshalltown, were held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 24, 2015, at Elim Lutheran Church. Pastor Karen Cluts officiated.
Jeff Arment, Rodney Arment, Brad Arment, Lloyd Cardin, Rock Bolen and Roger Taylor Sr. served as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers were Sheila Arment, Shannon Janssen, Brandon Arment, Sheen Hofert, Justin Arment, Brittany Arment, Shane Arment, Aaron Arment, Brady Arment, Christopher Arment and Joshua Arment.
Guests were in attendance from UAW #893, Mid Iowa Workforce, KIOWA, Ken Wise, Farmers State Bank, the Red Hat Society and the MHS Class of 1958.
