Ina Mae Benton, 79 of Parkersburg passed away June 21, 2012 at her residence.
She was born in Wood County the daughter of the late Sherman and Fonda Beall Newhouse.
She had retired from St. Joseph Hospital after many years of service. She was a very talented seamstress and enjoyed crafts, bingo, bowling and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jack L. Benton of Parkersburg; Her children, Linda Dianne West and husband Daniel of Parkersburg, Jacquline Lois Roberts and husband Phillip of Parkersburg, David Wayne Benton and wife Karen of Parkersburg, Charles William Benton and wife Teresa of Fleming, OH. and Timothy Dale Benton and special friend Wayne of Parkersburg. One brother, John F. Laughery of Parkersburg. Nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Springer, Ethel Brookover and Elsie Johnson. One granddaughter, Andrea.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00am at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Pastor Jim Condrey officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in the Evergreen North Cemetery.
