Thanks be to God, Curtis was given bonus time to enjoy this earthly paradise! The additional years enhanced his appreciation of family and the beautiful surroundings here.

Curt always had an unshakable faith in God, was proud to have served and been a pilot in our military, and felt richly blessed to have been born in this great country. He had tremendous joy in knowing that his cherished wife and beloved daughter and their families would be reunited with him on our Lords’ timetable.

Curt has now completed his “temporary duty” and moved on to his final “change of stations.” Although this is an “unaccompanied tour” Curt expects to be met by his youngest daughter, Dina and his precious grandson, Slater. His greatest glory however will be our Heavenly Father greeting him with “Well done my good and faithful servant.”

In lieu of flowers but if desired, donations may be made to Shalimar United Methodist Branchout, Guidepost or to a charity of your choice.

A private service will be held at a later date.

High Flight

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long delirious, burning blue,
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untresspassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.
