Cassie Yvonne Ballard, 79 of Union, WV was a daughter of the late Noah and Bernice Newhouse. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Eugene Ballard. She was predeceased by her brother, Allen Newhouse. She was a devout Christian and her church membership included Mount Alexander United Methodist, Sarton, WV and formerly Wesley Chapel United Methodist, Charleston, WV. She taught Sunday school at each of her churches. Outside of church, she was a homemaker and had a passion for quilting; each of her quilts blessed the world with beauty. Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, Noah, Jeffrey, Bruce and Matthew Ballard; brother, Ernest Newhouse; and six sisters Catherine Fontana, Frances White, Dolly Garrett, Louise Paxton, Hilda Kelsey, and Ella Moore; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren
