Mrs. Sarah Louise Bryan, a resident of Waverly for a number of years, died at 7:10 Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ellis Harbour, in Jacksonville, following a month's illness.
Mrs. Bryan was born in England, July 20, 1866, a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Newman.
She was married to James W. Bryan, at Pisgah, on June 19, 1887. To this union ten children were born. Mr. Bryan preceded her in death, November 19, 1939. A daughter, Bessie, died March 3, 1930, and another daughter, Mrs. Maybelle E. Reynolds, died in Seattle, Wash., January 25, 1944.
Mrs. Bryan is survived by six sons, Clarence, of Springfield, Walter of San Angelo, Texas, Miles, of Waverly, Charles, of Jacksonville, Fla., Paul, of St. Louis, and Marlin Bryan; two daughters, Mrs. Ellis Harbour, of Jacksonville, and Mrs. Pearl Etter, of Salida, Colo.; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
The remains are at the Neece Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held this afternoon, Friday, at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be in East cemetery.
