Viola Ruth Edgar, age 91, former resident of Fort Scott, died Monday, Aug. 2, 2010, at Lake Point Nursing Home in Rose Hill, Kan. She was born Nov. 7, 1918, in Carrington, N.D.; the daughter of John Nicolson and Elenor Radtke Nicolson. Ruth married Clarence Alexander Edgar on July 15, 1942 in Long Beach, Calif. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1977. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Wesley Allen Edgar who died July 4th, 2004; one infant sister; five brothers and two sisters.
