Christina (Nicolson) Folgherait, 78, of Wiggins Farm Drive, Simsbury, wife of the late Francis S. Folgherait, died Thursday, (December 16, 1999) at Hartford Hospital. She was born January 26, 1921 in Cardiff, Wales, daughter of the late Norman and Blanche Rosina (Davis) Nicolson, and had lived in Simsbury for most of her life.

Mrs. Folgherait was a sales associate for D & L for 20 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Congregational, Faith Circle, Senior Center, and a singing group, all of Simsbury. Christina also enjoyed line dancing and volunteering at the Governor's House, Simsbury.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Gale Folgherait-Byron and Michael Byron of Morristown, NJ; and a son and daughter-in-law, Brian J. and Colleen Folgherait of Adams, MA; and three grandchildren, Will, Leah and Andrea.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 22, 1 p.m. at the First Church of Christ Congregational, Simsbury. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury, Tuesday, December 21, 6-8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society, 45 Wintonbury Ave. Bloomfield, CT 06002
