Funeral Monday For Mrs. Howard

Rosary services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Steed Memorial Chapel for Mrs. Agnes Marie Howard, who died Thursday night at her home, 216 West 11th. Funeral mass will be 9 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Church.

Mrs. Howard, who came to Clovis as the bride of Joseph C. Howard Jr. 13 years old (sic/ago), would have been 33 years old on Oct. 22. She was graduated from high school in Los Angeles and Immaculate Heart College in Hollywood, Calif.

Active in extension club work, Mrs. Howard was president of the Curry County Extension Club Council and a past president of El Primero Club. She was also active in civic affairs and was vice-president of Sacred Heart Altar Society. She had been ill with cancer about a year and seriously ill for several months.

Besides her husband, Joseph C. Howard Jr., and 11-year old son, Joe III, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Blankmeyer of Inglewood, Calif., two sisters and two brothers.

Among the out of town relatives expected to attend funeral services are sister-in-law, Sgt. Della Mae Howard, who is stationed with the Women's Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, Calif., and two aunts, Mrs. Carrie Jordan of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Jim Smith, Okla.
