NOLAN Ubie Eugene Nolan-78-A native of Huxford, AL and a resident of Semmes, AL passed away at a local hospital on Sunday, July 25, 2010. Ubie was a member of Lott Road Assembly of God and attended Crawford Assembly of God. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was a retired Merchant Marine. He is survived by his wife, Ora Sprinkle Nolan; children, Brenda Jean (Gregory) Thompson and James Anthony (Elizabeth) Nolan; step children, Myron (Charlotte) Sprinkle, Brenda (Brent) Gillis, Mervin Sprinkle and Diane Mitchell; brothers, Jack (Willie) Nolan, William Nolan and Clifford Nolan; 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Serenity Funeral Home from 5 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 10 am with interment in Oddfellow Cemetery in Bayou La Batre.
