Returning to Indianapolis upon Noble's Marine retirement, Novella worked as an executive secretary with Geupel DeMars for 20 years. she belonged to the Columbia Club, the Red Hat society, the Young Marines, many other military and charity groups and adored the Indianapolis Symphony.
Novella leaves behind her son, Noble L. Beck Jr., and her sister Nancy Weaver; grandchildren, Josh (Satrina), Sam (Megan) and Novella Rose (Walt); great grandchildren, Novella Rose, Hannah, Valerie and Maverick. Novella was preceded in death by her husband, Nible L. Beck and her daughter, Novella Tolen.
Novella was affectionately known as "Cousin Blue Eyes" and was greatly loved by her family and friends. All who met her were blessed and impressed. She was a woman of incomparable beauty, strength and resolve, always loving, supportive, giving and generous. Lila will be deeply missed.
