James M. Nsubuga, of Waltham


James M. Nsubuga, of Waltham, died Friday, July 6, 2012 in Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 60.

James was born in Namirembe, Uganda on May 11, 1952 a son of Miria Nsubusa and the late George Wilson Nsubuga. Raised and educated in Uganda he moved to the United States in March of 1999.

He worked as a driver for Veterans Taxi Service for many years before taking work as a certified nurse's assistant for Home Instead Company and was working until the time of his death.

He leaves his children, Martin Nsubuga in South Africa, Eleanor Williams of Lexington, Allan Nsubuga in Sweden, Edgar, Winnie and Elsie Nsubuga all in Uganda and Edward Nsubuga in the United Kingdom; his mother, Miria Nsubuga in Uganda; four grandchildren, Ethan, Ryan, Oprah and Elijah; his siblings, Ruth Nsubuga Frank of Waltham, Sam Nsubuga of Nsangi, Uganda, Mary Ndawula of Gayaza, Uganda, Ida Walakira of Bukoto, Uganda and Eleanor Kitemu of Uganda; many nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS:
Family and friends will honor and remember James' life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, July 13th, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday afternoon in Saint Peter's Anglican Church of Uganda of Boston, (Christ Church), 750 Main Street, Waltham, where his funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Kisozi Buddo, Kamuli, Uganda.
