LAWRENCEVILLE, Ill. - Janette Rose Benson, 75, Route 2, Box 264, died at 11:26 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, at Bridge Pointe Health Campus in Vincennes.

Born Oct. 31, 1927, in Cook County, she was the daughter of Fred and Myrtle (Hays) Null.

She was a homemaker and cafeteria worker in the Lawrenceville schools. She was a member of Allison Prairie Church of the Brethren.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Benson, whom she married Dec. 24, 1945; two sons, Bradley Benson and Steve Benson, both of Lawrenceville; a daughter, Cheryl Hahn of Champaign; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.

A sister is deceased.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. CST Sunday at Allison Prairie Church of the Brethren, with burial in Centerville Cemetery, northeast of Lawrenceville.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. CST Saturday at Smith Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Allison Prairie Church of the Brethren or the Centerville Cemetery through the funeral home.
