Born February 23, 1922, in York County, she was the daughter of the late Clinton A. and Bessie (Baumgardner) Null.
Velma was a member of St. Bartholomew's United Church ELCA, Hanover. She was also a member of AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary, the Hanover Home Association, and the Hanover V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.
She retired from Sylvania Shoe in 1984 with over 25 years of service.
Velma is survived by one son, Jeffrey G. Frock of Hanover; four daughters, Joan Hodorowski of North Carolina, Victoria A. Alban of South Carolina, and Susan Rebert and Dixie Noble, both of Hanover; eight grandchildren, Tammy Frock Clabaugh, Matthew Rebert, Chad Alban, Jamie Frock, Jason Hodorowski, Tyson Rebert, Tyler Noble Harmon, and Jedry Noble; 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, John Null of Hanover; and one sister, Ruthetta Smith of Hanover.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Eric Alban; three brothers, Robert Null, Russell Null, and Gereon Null; and three sisters, Gladys "Polly" Noel, Janet Disanto, and Grace Neiderer.
A graveside service to celebrate and remember Velma's life will be held 11 a.m. April 19, 2011, at Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover.
