He had a long career with PG&E while raising his family in the Burney area. During this time, his interests included square dancing, golf, hunting and water skiing. He was active in the Burney Lions Club and Fort Crook Masonic Lodge.
In retirement, George loved spending time with his wife and friends golfing and supporting the McCloud Fireman's Association. He was a skilled handyman and remodeled his home in McCloud. His favorite activity in later years was gunning for the Northern California Field Trial Gunners Association and he gunned twice at the national dog trials.
George leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Jean, his children, Robin Fallscheer of Redding, Suzanne (Craig) Mattson of Arnold, Doug (Janet) Ondricek of Livermore; eight grandchildren, and his brother Frank (Lorraine) Ondricek of Redmond, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Gerald.
Memorial services and reception will be held February 21st, 1:00 p.m. at the Fort Crook Masonic Lodge in Fall River Mills, CA. He will be interred in the Oddfellows Cemetery in Orland.
