Mrs.
Anna M. Mead, wife of Allen Mead and a resident of Remington died at 7:30 P.M. May 24, 1954, at the Scott Nursing Home in Lafayette. Her death followed an illness of almost a year.
Mrs. Mead was born at Maroa, Illinois, and had spent most of her life in Benton and Newton counties before moving into Remington.
She was married to Allen Mead January 1, 1902. Mrs. Mead was a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Martin Eichenberger of Fowler, a son Carl Mead of near Remington, three brothers, Ben and Harry Oneal of Fowler and Charles Oneal of Goodland.
Friends called at the Crane funeral home at Goodland.
Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Wednesday from the Methodist Church in Remington with Rev. R.W. Michel officiating. Burial was in Remington Cemetery.
