He was a retired partner in the Mitten and Oneal Implement Company of Goodland, IN. He was a WWI veteran. He was a member of Griggs Memorial Methodist Church. The Fowler American Legion Post No. 57. Over 50-year member of Benton Masonic Lodge No. 521, also Scottish Rite and Murat Shrine of Indianapolis and Hazelden County Club of Brook.
He is survived by his widow, Fannie V. Oneal. They were married Jan. 7, 1921 in Indiana. Also survived by two nieces, which were raised in his home. Mrs. Edwin (Harriet) Benjamin, Lafayette, IN, and Mrs. William (Doris) Holden, Dallas, TX. Preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
Funeral services ar the Gerts Funeral Home in Goodland, IN, today, with burial in Goodland Cemetery.
The family would like memorials to the George Ade Memorial Hospital in Brook, IN.
