Margaret Cordero, 86, of Las Cruces, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011.

She was born Oct. 17, 1925 in El Paso, TX to Mr. and Mrs. Bruno Ontiveros.

Margaret was a retired Baker from the Las Cruces Public School System after many years of faithful service. She enjoyed Crocheting, Knitting and watching Novellas' on TV, but her two passions were for her entire family and going to Las Vegas to gamble. She will be forever missed by all her family and many friends who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son David Cordero of Las Cruces and his companion Josie Gallegos of Mesilla, NM; daughter Connie Herrera of Las Vegas, NV; sisters Beatrice Apodaca of Colleen, TX and Antonia Lujan and husband Tony of Fabens, TX; grandchildren Philip and companion Cody Rodriguez, Linda and husband Bobby Valenzuela, Loretta and Mando; great-grandchildren Michael, Matthew, Alicia and Corina. Margaret is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins on the Cordero, Lujan and Apodaca families.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ramon Cordero and daughter Teresa Gil.
