She was born June 21, 1919, in Point Rock, N.Y., the daughter of Harry George and Belva Craver Oram. She was a registered nurse and received her nursing degree from Faxton Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Utica, N.Y. She was a member of Hanover Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Harriette O. Parton of Madison; two sons, William Lawrence Betz of Beaufort, S.C. and Paul Wilmot Betz of Franklin, Vt.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Raymond Cope, who died in 1988; her parents; two sisters, Agnes Dashnau and Esther Conde; and one brother, William Francis Oram.
A memorial service was at Hanover Presbyterian Church. Burial was in Point Rock Cemetery in Point Rock, N.Y.
