Betty Lou Alford , 71, of Owenton, died Saturday at her home. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Jason Alford, died in 1993.

Survivors include sons, Jess Alford of Mayfield, Terry Alford of Owenton and Roger Alford of Ashland; daughters, Jo Ella Pryor, Sheila Baker, June Prather and Sherry Caldwell, all of Owenton, and Sonya Coppedge of Uruguay; brothers, Joseph P. Orr of Sacramento, Calif., Fred T. Orr Jr. of Tioga, La., Ralph Delin Orr of Benton, Ariz., and Julian Orr of Corbin; sisters, Zella Imprescia of Townsend, Tenn., Mary Gail Belvins of Lurray, Va., and Ella Kay Talley of Daytona, Fla.; 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McDonald Funeral Home, Seminary Street, Owenton. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Owenton. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, 401 E. 20th St., Covington, Ky. 41014.

Betty Lou Alford, 71, of Owenton, formerly of Knox County, passed away Saturday, October 25, 1997 at her residence.

She was the wife of the late Jason Alford.

The funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel in Owenton interment will be in the Owenton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Owenton Funeral Home today (Monday) from 4 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Saint Elizabeth Hospice in memory of Betty Lou Alford.
