Peoria, IL - Kimberly Osgood Anderson, 50, formerly of Peoria, passed away and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, after a courageous and graceful battle against cancer since 2010.

Kim was born April 21, 1963, in Peoria, Ill., to Oneida Osgood and Fred Marberry. Kim accepted Christ and was baptized at St. Paul Baptist Church in Peoria, Ill., by the late Reverend Amos L. Abbott.

Kim attended Peoria, Ill., public schools and graduated from Manual High School in 1981.

Kim was employed by United Airlines (formerly Continental Airlines) for 27 years as a flight attendant, where she worked until January of 2014.

Cherishing her memory are her children, Theophilus "Trey" Nolan Anderson of Houston, Texas, and Terrance Nicholas Anderson and Thea Nichelle Anderson (Jed), both of New York, N.Y.; one granddaughter, Sophia Willow Anderson; her husband of 15 years, Theophilus Anderson Jr.; mother and stepfather, Oneida and Jeremiah Johnson of Houston, Texas; father and stepmother, Fred and Geta Marberry of Chicago, Ill.; former stepmother, Janet Hill of Chicago, Ill.; three sisters, Crystal (Sara) Osgood, Chante (Sheronda) Osgood and Jimmia (Delbert) Hammons, all of Dallas, Texas; brother, Jimmy Lee (Shawna) Young Jr. of Dallas, Texas; uncle, Tru Osgood; aunt, Cynthia Robertson; uncles, James Marberry and John Marberry; and brothers, Craig Marberry of Osaka, Japan, Dana Marberry, Forrest Marberry and Fredric Marberry of Chicago, Ill. Additionally, she is also survived by several stepsisters, stepbrothers, nieces and nephews and numerous special friends.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Jimmy Lee Young Sr.; both maternal and paternal grandparents; one brother, Nolan Marberry; and a nephew.

We wish to acknowledge, with deep appreciation, every expression of kindness and sympathy shown during the illness and passing of our loved one, every visit, call, tribute and prayer. Your kindness will be long remembered. May God richly bless you.
