Janice K. (Osgood) Monroe, 76, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.
A viewing will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York.
Mrs. Monroe was born in Wellsville, NY on April 2, 1940, the daughter of the late Ronald J. and Margie C. (Scoville) Osgood, Sr. She worked as a Nursing Assistant at Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport and at Heatherbank in Columbia, and then worked for Schaad Security Agency.
Mrs. Monroe leaves her life companion, Robert "Shotgun" Graeff; a son, Richard Erickson and his wife Susan of Ulysses, PA; two daughters, Kathy Dotzel and her husband, John of York and Tamie Buckwalter of Millersville; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald Osgood and his wife, Rheunna of Genesee, PA and Raymond Osgood and his wife, Sandy of Sabinville, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604. The family would like to express a special thanks to "the special angels" of Home Helpers and Hospice and Community Care.
