Dr. Mary Paige Adams, 47, of Tifton, died Sunday, July 03, 2011, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date, along with the interment.
Dr. Adams was born in San Diego, Calif. on Feb. 7, 1964 to Dr. John B. Adams Jr. M.D. and Mrs. Mary Peterson Adams.
Dr. Adams graduated from the University of Georgia with her Bachelors and Masters degrees, then finished her Ph.D. in Water Sciences Research from the University of Florida. She began her water research career with the University of Georgia at Skidaway Institute of Oceanography on Skidaway Island, then moved to Tifton to continue her work with the NESPAL Division of the University of Georgia, where she was employed until the time of her death.
