Mrs.. Mary Allsup Of Kellogg Place Taken By Death

Mrs. Mary Fern Allsup, 50, died Sunday at her home, 1005 Kellogg Place, after a year's illness. The decedent was born July 2, 1897, at Unicn Mills, Ind., a daughter of Arthur and Julian Palen. She had lived in Valparaiso for a number of years.

Surviving are her husband, Dallas, to whom she was married in LaPorte in January, 1924; three sons, William Palmer, by a former marriage, and Charles and Glenn Allsup, all of Valparaiso; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Woodard, 'Valparaiso, and Mrs. Jessie Lawrence, LaPorte; five grandchildren; four brothers, Rolland, George and John Palen, of LaPorte, and Charles Palen, South Bend, and four sisters, Mrs. Leoro Young, Mrs. Ann Zook, Mrs. Clara Slater, and Mrs. Mildred Bunch, all of LaPorte.

One son, one daughter, one brother and one sister and her parents preceded her In death.

She became a member of the Assembly of God church 10 years ago.

Memorial services were held at the LePell funeral home on Monroe street, with the Rev. Mr. Rice, of Michigan City, officiating.
