A native of New Orleans, Mrs. May lived in this area 60 years. She was a member of Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Norfolk.
Her parents were William Henry and Fanny Peyton Finney Palfrey.
Surviving are a son, W. Peyton May; a granddaughter, Mrs. Harold A. Via Jr.; and three great-grandchildren, all of Virginia Beach.
A funeral service will be held Monday at noon in Forest Lawn Cemetery, by the Rev. Peyton Williams of Christ and St. Luke's Church.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Cot Fund of Christ and St. Luke's Church.
