Joan Katherine "Katy" Parker Ahern, 67, of Biloxi, MS passed away Friday, January 22, 2010. Katy was born in Biloxi where she remained a lifelong resident. She was of the Catholic faith. She leaves a legacy of love and closeness. She will always be remembered for her devotion to her children and grandchildren. Katy's zest for life will continue on in them.
Katy is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Albert Patrick Ahern; parents, Curtis Paul Parker and Victoria Acevado Miller; brother, James W. Parker; sisters, Mary LeBlanc, Betty Lepoma, Audrey Fowler, Geraldine Haluluh and Anna Hurlbert.
She is survived by her sons, Albert P. Ahern, Jr., Shawn (Celine) Ahern; daughters, Rhondalyn Puzz Rogers, Jetty Lively, Joanie Ahern, Dixie (Red) Seymour; brothers, Raymond (Patricia) Parker, Milton M.H. Parker, Curtis "Bing" Parker; sisters, Delores Landry, Margaret (Johnnie) Simmons; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 26, 2010 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Biloxi.
