Alice Parker Bailey, age 77, died on Tues, July 10, 2012 at the Baptist East Memorial Hospital in Memphis TN of heart failure. She was born on July 19, 1934, to the late Lewis & Maudell Parker in Sidon, MS, & lived in Greenwood most of her life and in Coffeeville for the last 20 years. She worked at the Crystal Grill for a number of years, and retired from Baldwin Piano after 20 years of service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Grenada, MS. She was preceded in death by her husbands James Marvin Bailey Sr, and Reece Bailey, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
Visitation will be held on Fri, July 13, 2012 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Funeral Services will be held Fri,2:00 PM Graveside in Odd Fellows Cemetery with the Rev Joseph Sansing officiating. Burial will be at the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Elaine Ricks of Carrollton, MS., 2 sons, James Marvin "Jim" Bailey Jr of Teoc, MS, and Bill Monroe Bailey of Oxford, MS, 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
