Joanne P. Barnett, 78, of Vandergrift died Tuesday (Dec. 14, 2004) in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison.
Born April 14, 1926, in Vandergrift, she had lived in the borough all of her life.
Mrs. Barnett was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Vandergrift, and the Vandergrift/Kittanning Order of Eastern Star.
She enjoyed playing bingo.
Survivors include her husband, Leon Barnett; a son, Mike (Debbie) Barnett of Oklahoma Borough; a daughter, Kathy (Ron) Jackson of Clearwater, Fla.; a brother, Joseph Paterson of Ebensburg; and a sister, Barbara Collier of Toledo, Ohio.
Also surviving are five grandchildren, Keith Jackson, Kevin Jackson, Paula Begovich, Jessica Begovich and Amy Barnett, and two great-grandchildren, Cara Jackson and Brandon Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Olive Espy Paterson.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the DUNMIRE-KERR FUNERAL HOME INC., 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift, where a service is set for 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Keith Deckinger will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Apollo.
