Mrs. Barry was born in Neptune, New Jersey, on June 14, 1938, to the late Jack & Martha (Updike) Patterson and moved here in 1989 from Colts Neck, New Jersey. She was a homemaker and member of the Reformed Church of Colts Neck. Dorothy enjoyed going to car shows and flea markets, car racing, gardening and playing the organ.
Survivors include her two sons, James (Peggy) Barry of Inverness and Mark C. (Sandra) Barry of Middletown, NJ; two sisters, Janet Matthews of Howell, NJ, Barbara Matthews of South Carolina; and two dear friends, Roger Fleming of Inverness and Jennifer Holland of Marlboro, NJ.
A celebration of life memorial service will be conducted Friday, July 31, 2009, at 3:00 P.M. from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home of Inverness with the Rev. Leary Willis officiating. There will be no viewing hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464.
