BABER, Martha Corrine (Patterson) - Age 73, of Fostoria, MI, died Sunday, March 5, 2000 at home with her family. Funeral services will be at 11AM Wednesday, March 8, 2000 at the Avram Funeral Home in Mayville with Mr. Ernest Johnston officiating. Interment at Watertown Cemetery, Fostoria, MI. Family will receive visitors Tuesday, March 7, 2000 from 12 Noon - 3PM and 5-9PM.

She was born December 16, 1926, in Flint and graduated from Flint Northern High School. She married Edward Baber 50 years ago on April 30, 1949, at Fostoria United Methodist Church.

She was employed for 20 years with the Mayville Schools as a Bus Driver and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post #2409, Mayville Chapter WIBC (bowling). Her interests included bowling, traveling and her family.

She is survived by: her husband, Edward Baber; 5 children, Virginia (Orland) Harrington of Fostoria, Sandy (Rodney) Main of Otter Lake, Mike (Cathy) Baber of Fostoria, Patti (Bill) Frenzel of Fostoria, Brian (Jean) Baber of Mayville; 2 sisters, Vronda Hescott of Montrose, Almarie Teeple of Flint; uncle, Vern Sumner of Genesee, MI; grandchildren, Adam and wife Ginger, Ben, Rachel, Matt, Jaime and fiance' Brian, Sarah, Holly, Annie, Bret and Brandon; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Travis and Jacob; and also many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter at birth, Linda; son, David; sister, Virginia Johnston; brother, Jim Patterson; mother, Esther (Patterson) Wells and father, William Patterson.
