Bert C. Perrine, of Canonsburg, passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012, surrounded by his family.

He was born January 12, 1920, son of the late Elsie Marie Loman Perrine and Oliver F. Perrine.

Mr. Perrine spent most of his life in Canonsburg, where he attended school.

On February 24, 1942, he was inducted into the U.S. Army in New Cumberland. He transferred to the third Armored Division in Camp Polk, La., where he took his basic training, and then to Mojave Dessert, Calif., then overseas in 1943, where he crossed over Europe. On November 12, 1945, he was discharged after three years and seven months.

On August 23, 1946, he married the late Ruth E. Dove.

He was a member of First Christian Church of Canonsburg, where he was deacon and security treasure. He was a past master at Masonic Lodge No. 297 Free and Accepted Masons in Canonsburg and Masonic treasurer for six years.

Mr. Perrine worked at American Cyanamid in Bridgeville for 17 years and retired from McGraw Edison in Canonsburg after 20 years.

Surviving are two sons, Larry Perrine and Keith Perrine.

Deceased are four sisters, Marie Murray, Florance Carbary, Hazel Boyel and Jean Bissiere, and a brother, Frank Perrine.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Beinhauer-Bogan Funeral Home, 164 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-5810, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 5. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. Masonic services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
