Sometime before 1825, she married Samuel who was a native of England, settling on a farm in Sandy Lake Township in 1819. Three of his children by his first wife were born in England: William (Milcah Perrine), Mary E. (Richard Fowler) and Anne.
Samuel and Hannah had the following children: John (Harriet Slater), Ellen (William Fowler), Samuel D. and Sarah.
Note: Their son John was killed in the second day at the Battle of Gettysburg and is buried there.
