Religious Figure. Lord-Bishop Sava Petrovic-Njegos was the Metropolitan and ruler of Montenegro from 1735 to 1782. He ruled jointly with Vasilije III from 1750 until March 10, 1766. His faith was Orthodoxy and served the Southern Slavic people residing in Serbia, Kosovo, and Albania. Many of his letters have become of historical value and he represented freedom and gave liberation aspirations. In early December of 1756 , the Montenegrins defeated the army of the Bosnian Vizier Camil Ahmet Pasha, in Predis near Cetinje.
